The problem
Most good material for Math, Physics, and Chemistry exists in English, which puts it furthest from the Cambodian students who need it most. The gap is language, not content — and a tutor that closes it has to know where the student is, because a Grade 7 student and a university student need different answers to the same question.

Khmer first, textbook terms intact
The tutor replies in the language the student writes in, defaulting to Khmer, but keeps scientific terms in English where the textbook does and adds the Khmer alongside. Maths is written in Unicode — ², √, π, Σ — instead of LaTeX, so it reads the same on every device.
Decision 03
One gateway, several model providers
Model calls go through a provider gateway with Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, DeepSeek, and OpenAI-compatible adapters, so the tutor is not tied to one vendor's pricing or availability.
