In Cambodia people earn, spend, and save in riel and dollars, often in the same day. Most finance apps make one currency primary and treat the other as an afterthought — and the record of where the money went is still a paper receipt.

Every amount is stored as whole riel, and the dollar figure is derived at the live exchange rate whenever it is shown. Each wallet has one balance, so a transfer or a deleted transaction can never leave a riel column and a dollar column disagreeing.

Dollar figures move with the rate. The API caches it for six hours and falls back to a pegged 4,100 when the provider is down, so a USD view is an estimate, not a record.
Text recognition runs natively — Apple Vision on iOS, ML Kit on Android — over a platform channel, while the parsing heuristics stay in pure Dart so one set of unit tests covers both platforms.
Two native integrations to maintain instead of one cloud OCR call, and recognition is only as good as each platform's on-device model.
Each data screen caches its most recent successful response. When the network drops, the app shows that snapshot under an offline banner instead of an error, and the exchange rate keeps its own cached copy so totals still render.
Offline is read-only — adding a transaction needs a connection, which keeps the server as the ledger's single source of truth.
Unit specs assert on the real SQL each service binds — which wallet moved, by what signed amount, inside which transaction — and an end-to-end suite checks that every protected route rejects a missing token and that one user's data is invisible to another.
Version 1.0.0 is release-ready: CI builds Android and iOS on every pull request, the API's end-to-end suite gates every change, and the store listings are prepared in English and Khmer. It has not been published to the stores yet.
